Dunrobin Locomotive

Following the publishing of the photographs of the Dunrobin in the last issue I received the following e-mail from its present custodian.

"I was a fireman at Fort Steele this summer, mainly on the #1077 steam locomotive, but I did have the Dunrobin steamed-up for Father's Day. Unfortunately, we didn't run it that day as one of the brakes was acting up. So instead we just tooted the whistle a few times - at least a number of people saw it under steam. Hopefully we will operate it more next year. I spent a number of days putting a coat of wax on it and polishing the brass so that the old girl looks good.
