2011 AGM

This is advance notice that the 2011 Annual General Meeting of the Friends of the Far North Line will be held at Mackay's Hotel, Union Street, Wick, KW1 5ED on Saturday, 18th June, 2011. Precise timings are still under discussion but the event will be timed to allow rail travel into Wick at 11.32 (07.06 from Inverness), returning south at 16.00. As in recent years, there will be formal and informal parts to the meeting; non-members will be welcome to attend the informal part. Along with our President, John Thurso, MP, and Frank Roach of HITRANS, there will be a talk by Kenny Scott, Engineering Director, First ScotRail.

The event will include a buffet lunch. There will be no charge for this but the society will ask for a voluntary donation of £5, payable on the day, to defray expenses. This will also be open to non-members.
