Lairg Local History Society has had an exhibition of photographs, signalling diagrams and track plans of Lairg Station, and pictures of various local industries, at the Ferrycroft Visitor Centre in Lairg since April.
This is to mark the 150th anniversary of the opening of this section of the Far North Line. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at the station on 12th May by Sally Mackenzie, daughter of the last Lairg Stationmaster.
Also included are two N gauge model railways - one of Invershin and the other of Lairg Station.
You still have time to catch the exhibition which is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and has been extended to Sunday 18th November.
